WHAT IS UV CURING?
UV curing is based on changing the state of the matter, else said a product applied as a liquid or a paste is to be solid after UV irradiance.
Therefore, several coating chemistries are available on the market, requiring various UV wavelengths, either over a spectrum encompassing UV-A to UV-C, we are then talking about a “UV lamp”, or a specific UV wavelength, we are then talking about an LED source (UV-A).
The UV Polymerization after conformal coating or dispensing allows shorter cycle times compared to IR Drying commonly used solutions and then requires minimized foot print. The environmental impact is reduced due to the absence of solvent based varnishes. Consequently the polymerization line doesn‘t require solvent treatment and finally the energy impact is reduced too.
Maximize wettability and adhesion, and ease quality control on your coating lines. In order to leverage the quality and ROI of your coating lines, EXELSIUS recently developed two innovative products:
- Genius, a 3D self-programmable and robust solution for selective surface activation by atmospheric pressure plasma,
- XVIEW, when AOI is not required, and direct operator visual control is not sufficient…
